Odyssey Sims has seen her role shrink as Dallas's primary guards have stabilized. She played 5.1 minutes against Portland and only 4.0 against Seattle after receiving double-digit work in each of the previous five games. Aziaha James is also available again, adding another ballhandler to the second-unit competition. Sims can still provide experienced point-guard minutes when Paige Bueckers or Arike Ogunbowale rests, but her current path is a brief relief stint rather than the 20-plus-minute workload she handled earlier in August.
