Li Yueru's role remains tied to matchup needs and late-game situations. She played only the final 2.3 minutes against Portland after the Wings had built a comfortable lead, and she has been a coach's-decision DNP in three of her last six recorded games. Dallas has leaned on Jessica Shepard, Awak Kuier and Alanna Smith for the competitive frontcourt minutes, with Maddy Siegrist filling another reserve slot. Li can still see a short stint if foul trouble or size demands it, but she is not assured of entering the game.
